WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

EARLY RELEASE OF SUPERANNUATION

If you are medically affected by your weight or are likely to be, and we can foresee that this will affect your health in the future, then we can support early release of Superannuation in certain circumstances. We recommend you speak to us about this first before making any further enquiries.

If this is your preferred option, then we can assist you in this process. We will save you the hassle of having to chase up quotes from each separate service involved in your care, and we will provide detailed instructions on how to go about submitting your application online.

This applies for both insured and uninsured patients. You may wish to take out the entire amount or you may only need to take out the gap payments, due to your PHI covering the rest.

TAKING OUT PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

You may wish to join up with a private health fund, wait out the 12 month waiting period, and have your surgery thereafter. We recommend you come and see us to discuss this option to ensure you take out the correct cover, and also, we want to use the 12 month wait productively, to get you going on a lifestyle program so that you are ready to have surgery as soon as the waiting time is over.

Please give our office a call if you would like to discuss these options more 08 7082 9220.
